Easy Peasy Halloween Costumes #2

Skirt: H&M
Dress: Topshop
Shirt: Charity Shop
Bug Crown: DIY

Ok, I'm leaving this a little late, sorry! I got a bit glue gun happy and glued loads of plastic bugs I've collected over a few halloweens (from places like Tesco) to a headband. I wanted to do a DIY but this is really so simple I thought it would speak for itself!

Hope you all have a happy halloween! I have a halloween themed video to put up tomorrow :) oh and I'm in this week's issue of more magazine but I'll talk about that in a separate post :) go check it out!

Easy Peasy Last Minute Halloween Costumes #1

I know it's late, but I'm going to put a few more of these posts up in the run up to Halloween! Eeek I'm so excited!

Top - Charity shop
Skirt - New Look
Fur Stole - H&M (old)
Collar - Primark
Boots - Some mall shop in town
Ears - Acessorize

Please excuse how dark and grainy these photos are, my camera was having an off day! It;s a shame because my top is a gorgeous seethrough and velvet baroque print that I found in a charity shop a while back and you can't really see it!

This post is basically a quick rundown of how to create a super easy halloween costume from bits and pieces from your own wardrobe! I used cat ears and dressed in all over black to create an elegant and stylish twist on a costume. I added a collar necklace and fur stole to ad to the feline feeling of the outfit. If you can tell by my su-weeeet photoshop skillzzz in the last picture, I didn't have time to add makeup as I had to run off and catch a ferry, but you can go with or without it for this look!

I love halloween so much, this isn't what I'd normally wear but I thought it would be helpful to anyone going to a party or somewhere nice this year. I'm planning to go all out on the make-up and go super gruesome this year (same as every year!). I've bought tonnes of skin wax and liquid latex, the makeup artist in me is dying to get out. I'll post pictures after halloween probably! My old costumes include a jack in the box, the saw puppet, a zombie mickey mouse and a zombie sailor (I didn't really try much that year, I'm ashamed of myself), I Might dig up some old cringey photos for my next post, we'll see

stay spooky ;) xo

(ps: I'm having serious youtube problems at the moment so if you subscribed to my channel, I've had to change it to LillaRosax, sorry for the inconvenience but there will be lots of new videos this week! :))

The Last of the Shopping Addiction

So from today onwards (20th October 2012) until the end of November, I am on a shopping detox. I'm trying to save money for travelling next summer and frantically searching for a job (woe is me) So I'm going to be on my best behaviour until then.

Here are the last few bits I've been buying in the sales (no thanks to blogger/youtube for reminding me that there were mid-season sales on recently, gah!)

Office - some decent shoes as mine always scratch the back of my feet

 H&M

My dream skirt for £3, and all it needs is being taken in 3 sizes, nothing my sewing machine can't fix, score!

 Topshop

 Accessorize

I've also set up my Bigcartel store again, I used to run it a year ago but stopped because I started university, now that my life is calm again I though I would start it up again :) I've been hoarding these pieces for months to put up online.

In West Philadelphia Born and Raised

Top: H&M
Trousers: Ebay
Hat: H&M
Necklace: old
So, right now, I'm all curled up on my sofa watching a Fresh Prince marathon on Viva, I went through a phase for months of not watching it but now I'm back on track. I know the trousers are really summery, but you wont find many burgundy and brown coloured clothes on this blog during the Winter, sorry! I just can't get into the Winter spirit. This hat, however is so cosy and was only £3.99, bargain!

I'm going to attempt to finish one of my many unfinished xbox games now, I have such a bad habit of getting a new one and leaving them all half-finished. Bye :)

MmmBOP!

Shirt: Thrifted
Dress: H&M
Belt: From an old pair of shorts
Bracelet: Camden

I can't stop listening to Hanson at the moment! Mmmbop is my favourite song EVER, they even put it on for me at the shoot I was at a few days ago.
I'm sick again (do I say this in every blogpost, you must all think I'm a hypochondriac, I'm not, I swear!) I have an ear infection so I'm sat at home being grumpy and feeling sorry for myself while wishing I was at uni (what? what is wrong with me?). This picture was from a few days ago, I wore it to a lecture, I've only just been able to upload it.
I hope everyone else is well. I had a huge blog redesign the other day, and put up proper links and stuff. Maybe come and say hello on twitter? :3 I'm much better at communicating on twitter

Ways to style a black bralet (and EXCITING NEWS!)

So I got sucked into Polyvore the other day, after not using it for a good few years, and let me just tell you this, it's a deadly way to empty your wallet. I wanted to buy EVERTHING, especially the ombre jumper (Miss Selfridge I think?), cloud skirt and spike pink heels (ebay)

There's no outfit information, sorry, I just got so carried away. But if you go on polyvore and search for them you'll find anything on these pictures super easily!

I've got some REALLY exciting news to share with you all, although I'm not sure if I'm allowed to talk about it properly yet? I'm off to London for a magazine shoot tomorrow, I will post scans of it when it's out and let you guys know how it all went, I'm literally soooo excited!

Faux Fur Stoles - 2 ways

 OUTFIT 1:

Jacket: Thrifted
Dress: Thrifted

Stole: H&M (years ago)

OUTFIT 2:

Jacket: Ebay
Dress: Primark

Stole: Thrifted
Necklace: Jewellery outlet
Bag: Select
Shoes: Topshop

Here are 2 different ways I've used faux fur stoles to change up 2 of my winter jackets for the forthcoming season. I love both the denim jacket and my camo jacket but to stop myself getting bored with them I've added these faux fur pieces to spice them up!
You could always wear them with dresses, tees and in many other ways. How will you be wearing yours this season?
